Fall 2021:
Update on our services and COVID-19

Dear Valued Clients:

Over the past year and a half, we have lived through an unprecedented time where we had to learn to physically distance from each other to protect each other from infection. We are thinking of you, our clients, and all of the ways you have adapted to change and uncertainty. As a community we have done so well, and we thank you for being so willing to take the many measures you took, including transitioning to virtual therapy. We know it hasn’t always been easy! Now, as we celebrate the gains we have made and the increased freedoms those gains have allowed us, while also aware that we aren’t totally out of the woods, we want to update you on our procedures in what is being described as the “new normal”.

At Lesley Hartman & Associates Inc. (LHA) our top priority is to ensure your well-being and safety. As such, we are closely following the guidelines and recommendations of the public health authorities and our regulatory bodies on how to deliver services in the safest way possible for you, our clinicians, and our community.

Many of you will be pleased to know that we have resumed offering in-person appointments. However, out of respect for those with health concerns, the provision of in-person sessions will be at the discretion of your clinician and will depend on their comfort level, health concerns, or personal risk factors. Some of our clinicians are offering both in-person and virtual sessions, whereas some may be offering exclusively virtual sessions. Please advise us of your preference. If you have concerns about continuing with virtual sessions, or feel that you are unable to derive benefit from telehealth, please discuss these concerns with your clinician, and we will do our utmost to transfer you to a clinician doing in-person work. If you are a new client and would like to know which clinicians will be offering in-person sessions, our intake team will be able to assist you when you book an appointment with them. Conversely, if you have enjoyed virtual sessions or if these are more practical for you, you are welcome to continue with those; just let your clinician know.

If you will be attending sessions in person, it is important to us that you feel confident in being able to safely access services without putting your health at risk. As such, the LHA team is committed to adhering to a comprehensive protocol of clinic procedures designed to minimize the risk of infection. We are also asking all clients to follow strict precautions to reduce risk while attending sessions. Please see our in-person sessions page for more details. We want to thank you and appreciate your continued support as we navigate through this ‘new normal’. Your strength and resilience continue to inspire us.

Stay healthy, safe and connected.
