About Dammy Emeto
I am a counselling therapist intern who takes a person-centred approach to working with individuals. My work is informed by cognitive behavioural and trauma-informed perspectives, and I take an integrative approach that adapts to each client’s needs. In therapy, I work collaboratively with clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a respectful and supportive environment. I believe meaningful therapy happens when insights developed in our conversations can be carried into everyday life and contribute to lasting change. My perspective has also been shaped by experience supporting individuals in community and crisis settings. I approach counselling with cultural humility and curiosity, recognizing the ways identity, culture, and life experiences influence mental health and wellbeing.
