About Jillian Mercer
I am a registered Occupational Therapist (O.T.) passionate about supporting children, and youth, through trauma-informed, holistic care. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, and complex mental health challenges, including those on the autism spectrum. I care about cultural safety and take a client-centered approach, collaborating with clients and their families to create individualized plans that build on strengths and meet unique needs.
I use evidence-based therapies alongside practical strategies to improve emotional regulation, daily functioning, and overall well-being. My goal is to create a warm, safe, and non-judgmental space where clients feel supported and empowered to face challenges and grow.
I have a particular interest in working with neurodiverse populations, including individuals with ASD, ADHD, and AuADHD, ensuring interventions are tailored, flexible, and engaging. I take a whole-person perspective, recognizing the connection between mental, emotional, and social factors, and celebrate every milestone—big or small—on a client’s journey toward confidence, resilience, and a fulfilling life.
