About Sarah Mansfield
I am a Registered Psychologist working adults and adolescents (16+) to improve their social and emotional health by accessing their inner wisdom and resilience. I am a client-centered and strength-based clinician who is committed to establishing a strong therapeutic relationship, while using an integrated and trauma-informed approach.
Providing a safe, secure environment for all clients, regardless of gender, culture, or race, is of the utmost importance. I do so by continuing to understand our individual differences through structured and unstructured learning opportunities. Experiencing trauma of any kind, including violence and abuse, has a profound impact on various areas of life, which means treating an individual as a whole person. It is my belief that choice is an essential component of such work, where the client sets the pace and direction of treatment. I am an open, enthusiastic individual who values authenticity and collaboration. I support clients with mood/anxiety related difficulties, trauma, emotion dysregulation, as well as challenges with attachment, sense of self, and stress. I use EMDR, CBT, DBT-informed practices, and strategies to assist clients in achieving a calm body state, essential when processing trauma and establishing an overall sense of connection to self and others.
