About Derrick Neubauer
Asking for help is an act of bravery. Just taking that first step requires courage and commitment. My approach is to help you along your journey with compassion, utilizing techniques gained from years of experience. I am here as a partner and collaborator in creating a safe space to provide you with tools and insight to unbind what is holding you back, and clarify what drives you forwards.
A large portion of my career has been spent as a therapist, diagnostician, and consultant with the Texas State Psychiatric Hospital System, working with some of the most challenging and notorious cases in the United States. I’ve also worked with youth and adolescents entrusted to the state, helping them to work through a wide spectrum of issues. I’ve enjoyed prior work in both private practice and as a college lecturer.
I will bring to each therapy session patience, experience, expertise, and compassion… and just a dash of Texas country wisdom.
