About Sarah Mansfield

I am a Psychologist (Cand. Reg.) working with adult and adolescent (16+) clients to improve their social and emotional health by accessing their inner wisdom and resilience. I am a client-centered and strength-based clinician who is committed to establishing a strong therapeutic relationship while using an integrated treatment approach.

Born and raised in Northern Ontario, I relocated to Nova Scotia in 2018 to continue my work in the field of psychology and to be closer to the ocean. I have experience providing psychotherapy and conducting psychological assessments in private practice and community mental health treating individuals from diverse backgrounds and varied presentations. Formal training in Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PET), and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy allows me the flexibility to match the client with their best fit.

I provide treatment to those experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction, disordered eating, significant mood and behavioural dysregulation as in Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), perfectionism, and coping with stress. Currently, my focus has been on supporting individuals to address symptoms associated with trauma experienced across the lifespan using Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).

I am an open, enthusiastic, and humorous individual who values authenticity, collaboration, and self-inquiry. Connecting with others brings me great joy and I look forward to helping you reach your goals.
